If you break a law, they only follow you for about 2 weeks. Then forget about you.

The punishment is always community service. It's boring, it's stupid, there isn't a drop of alcohol on sight.

They're also really weak for elite pokemon battlers. Half of the times when you commit a crime, they don't even go after you.
